Want to hear something brand new? Well, then you're in the right place.
Last summer my buddy Tim Justice and I sat down at Lou's Rocky Road Tavern in Okemah, OK (The birthplace of the one and only Woody Guthrie) and pounded out a few songs about justice, resistance, and the way we thought the world ought to be. We had a few beers, laughed a lot, and came up with what I think are a couple of genuinely cool songs.
One of the songs we wrote that afternoon we titled "Liberty's Harbor". It's a mournful reflection on our country's current attitude toward immigration.
Well, as is so often the case with this kind of song, it just won't stop being timely. So, feeling frustrated by the vitriol surrounding the renewed immigration debate recently I decided to record a demo of "Liberty's Harbor" as my way of adding my voice to the discussion.
It's only a demo, but I'm pretty proud of it. I knocked it out in about two hours in my little home studio. I hope you guys like it. Feel free to share it around!
All the best,
